About Platform

Funding

The Platform is not a legal entity and does not have its own resources. Coordination and activities are carried out on a volunteer basis, thanks to contributions from part-ners. The main funding is contracts for research and development with customers. The customers of the work can be governments, donors, international agencies, the private sector and other individuals and organizations.

Funding will be arranged through research contracts with individual countries, donor organizations, international cooperation agencies, private businesses with an interest in the policy research capacity of the platform.

Countries are expected to support the platform's activities by providing their expertise and data, ordering work and implementing the results. Work is underway with donors to provide funds to support the platform for the first five years.

There will preferably be a donor trust fund as the main financing vehicle next to re-search programs and projects implemented under contract and under coordination of the platform.
