World Water Council

The World Water Council is an international multistakeholder platform organization whose mission is to mobilize action on critical water issues at all levels, including the highest decision-making level, by engaging people in debate and challenging conventional thinking. The Council focuses on the political dimensions of water security, adaptation and sustainability.

The Asia-Pacific Water Forum

The goal of the APWF is to contribute to sustainable water management in order to achieve the targets of the MDGs in Asia and the Pacific by capitalizing on the region’s diversity and rich history of experience in dealing with water as a fundamental part of the human existence. Specifically, the APWF shall champion efforts aimed at boosting investments, building capacity, and enhancing cooperation in the water sector at the regional level and beyond.

International Network of Basin Organization

The International Network of Basin Organizations (INBO) is a non-profit association under French law, created in 1994 and based in Paris. INBO has placed the promotion and support for the implementation of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) in national and transboundary river basins, lakes and aquifers at the heart of its mission of general interest.

International Office for Water

The International Office for Water is a non-profit-making Association. Its objective is to gather public and private partners involved in water resources management and protection in France, Europe and in the world (bi- and multi-lateral cooperation organizations, ministries, water agencies, local communities, universities, engineering schools, research centers, land development companies, water suppliers and professionals, industrialists, professional associations, non governmental organizations) in order to set up a real partners’ network.

International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage

The International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID) is a leading scientific, technical, and professional not-for-profit international organization working in the field of irrigation, drainage, and flood management to the promote and achieve sustainable agriculture water management. As a knowledge-sharing platform, ICID is dedicated to improving the status of agricultural water management practices including rain-fed agriculture, supplemental irrigation, deficit irrigation and full irrigation. Other core activities focus on the drainage of agricultural lands and the management of extreme climate events such as flood and droughts.

The mission of INWRDAM is to foster closer cooperation among the countries of the Muslim Ummah in the field of development and management of water resources.
