Investigations
related to irrigated lands ecology-reclamation condition
improvement by means of water resources rational use
and collector-drainage system workability improvement
as well as optimal reclamation regime choice providing
high crop yield under minimum water resources expenditures.
Climate is sharply continental. Soils are saline. Ground
water depth- 1,9-2,3 m, high salinity (4-25 g/1). Experimental
plot area is more than 500 th. ha. Irrigation system
in earth canal, efficiency-0,56, in-farm-0,65, on-farm
and main 0,85-0,92. Collector-drainage system is open,
in a state of neglect, specific length-30-32 m/ha. On-farm
collectors by depth -2,5-3,5m (under designed 5m), in-farm
main collectors and drains -1,8-2,0 m (under designed
3-3,5 m). Land efficiency -0,45-0,55 (for cotton zone),
0,75 - for rice zone. Complex of ecological, reclamation
and water saving measures are developed for optimal
water salt regime creation in south zone of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. |

main reasons of soil productivity and irrigation water
decrease are clarified on the basis of analysis of water
salt regime and water salt balances formation. Basic
measures on irrigated lands reclamation condition improvement
are suggested. |
