Summary

Study is directed to water consumption and disposal norm setting for rice on background of vertical drainage, increasing water availability and rice field productivity. Climate is sharply continental. Ground water depth is 4.5m and salinity is 1.2-2.2g/l, chloride-sulfate. Irrigated area is 238.4 ha. One well's command area is 80-100ha or one crop rotation field. Well depth is 50m. Plot is equipped with necessary measuring devices. In  result of multiyear research vertical drainage reclamation efficiency  is  proved  for rice  and  alfalfa.   It  is  shown  that practically, changing well discharge percolation during vegetation can be regulated. Practical recommendations are given.
