Summary

Studies are dedicated to unproductive irrigation water losses, water saving, soil fertility increase, new progressive irrigation methods introduction that provides optimal root-zone humidity regime under minimal unproductive water losses. EPP is located in central part of desert zone. Climate is continental. Soils - meadow, semi-loam. Ground water salinity degree is from weakly to medium saline (3-16 g/1), chloride-sulfate type. Water table is from 1.2-2.2 m (in vegetation) to 2.5-3.0 m (in non-vegetation). Specific length of collector-drainage network is 38.5 m/ha, depth -1.6-1.8 m. EPP area is 129.7 ha (net). EPP is equipped with siphons, pipelines, switches, observation wells, flume inlets, water weirs, and oth. On base of furrow irrigation water saving technologies and water-salt balance calculation analysis recommendations regulating introduction of discrete irrigation method were developed.
