Summary

The main aim of investigations is to study the technical, maintenance and technological peculiarities of cotton drip irrigation method and develop on this base practical recommendation on maintenance and technology of cotton cultivation under drip irrigation.Experimental plot conditions are typical for South-Kazakh irrigation zone. Soils are meadow sierosem with separate spots of slightly salinity of chloride-sulfate type. Soils structure corresponds to medium and heavy loam. Ground water depth in dependence on relief from 3 to 20m with ground water salinity degree (3-15 g/l), sulfate-hydrocarbon magnesium-calcium type.Climate is sharply continental. Experimental plot is 100ha. Experimental plot is equipped by drip irrigation system of Israeli production.Investigations allowed to found out the following positive Drip Irrigation System (DIS) peculiarities: irrigation water saving; crop productivity increase; quantity of inter-row cultivation reduction;  labour reduction; soil compaction; opportunities of soils moistening quick correction. The lacks are necessity of high-level specialists for DIS serving; system capacity dependence on electric power; high cost; permanent control for DIS operation.

According to results of investigations the recommendations on DIS maintenance as well as on technology of cotton cultivation under drip irrigation are developed.

Experimental materials obtained from plot in "Hushvatov" farm which area is 60 ha equipped by drip irrigation system describing influence such method of irrigation on water consumption and cotton productivity are given. Obtained results allowed to give agro- technical assessment to grip irrigation of cultivated crops. Crop capacity 42,8-43,8 t/ha is obtained on plot with DIS against 32,7 t/ha on control plot with furrow irrigation.
