Summary |
Goal of investigations is development and
experimental- production control of low-pressure drip
irrigation technology of horticulture on around-stem furrows
without fine water cleaning with the use as water outlets
polyethylene tubes 4 mm diameter.Plot is located in Vakhsh valley. Climate is sharply continental.Soils are made of non-saline, slightly loamy
subsident loess.Ground waters are at a depth more than 80
m. Plot irrigation is implemented from irrigation
canal with salinity less than 0.7 g/l of hydrocarbonate-calcium
type, with suspended particles content 1.5-3.0 g/l.Relief is hilly.Plot area is 13 ha (net).Irrigation system consists of main, distributive
and irrigation pipelines equipped with tubes-water outlets.
As a result of long-term investigations
it was determined that low-pressure drip irrigation can
be used in soils of different grade and permeability; fresh
water is preferable with turbidity up to 3,5 –4,0 mg/l.
Recommendations on necessary slopes and
pipe diameters are given. Hydraulic calculation methodology
of irrigation network for various conditions is developed. |
