Summary |
Investigations related to water consumption norms reduction
and irrigated lands productivity increase on a base of drip
irrigation system application as well as water-salt regime
and its fertility management on a background of vertical
drainage.Climate is sharply continental. Relief is hilly. Soils are made of loam and presented by meadow-sierosems.In natural conditions the territory is poorly drained.Ground water level is 1,0-1,5m (spring), 3,0-3,5m (autumn).
Ground water salinity is 1-2 g/l, chloride-sulfate type.Drainage water, pumped by vertical drainage, salinity
is 0,8-1,2 g/l.Experimental plot area is 450 ha (gross). Land use
efficiency -0,8.Experimental plot is constructed by Israel firm. Water abstraction is done from vertical well and system
of flumes. Diameter of main pipelines is 70-120mm, distributors
- 40mm, irrigators - 16mm. Emitter discharge per 1 meter
of length is 2,3 l/min. Water treatment is done by means
of combined setting basin (sandy and rotary filters).
Adaptation of the drip irrigation technology to local
conditions was being conducted. Annual water consumption
norm is decreased on 20% as well as water availability for
irrigated lands is improved. However, investments and operational
expenses increased. |

Authors - F.F. Vishpolsky.Title - “Dynamics of soils salt regime under changes
in irrigation regime and technology”, KazNIIGim, 1994
Regularity of soil salt regime formation is found.
Measures on soils fertility increase as well as quantitative
parameters of irrigation norm reduction under technology
changes in different hydrological conditions are defined. |
