Summary

Investigations related to revelation of the main reasons of irrigated lands and irrigation water productivity decrease by means of system analysis of irrigated farming which allows to develop the set of water-reclamation and agro-technical recommendations on irrigated lands and irrigation water productivity increase.  Experimental plot is located in middle stream of Syrdarya river.   Climate is sharply continental. Ground water depth from 1,5-4m. Ground water salinity is within 5-20 g/l of chloride-sulfate type. In old irrigation zone (Shuruzak, Sardoba, Bayaut massifs) vertical drainage is operated. 306, 184 and 109 wells are built correspondingly. Collector-drainage system specific length is 26,1, 42,3 and 21,4 m/ha respectively, in Poimen massif -27 m/ha. Irrigation network (76-82%) in earth channel. Inter-farm canals efficiency is 0,94-0,96 and on-farm-0,7-0,73. In new irrigation zone (Central, Farhad, Djizak and other massifs) subsurface drainage with specific length 57,5; 94,4; 107; 42 m/ha, respectively, is operated. Irrigation system is lined. Inter-farm canals efficiency is 0,9-0,98 and on-farm efficiency -0,83-0,86.

Analysis of dynamics and tendency of reclamation processes is conducted. Assessment of impact of water-reclamation and agro-technical factors on agriculture crop yield capacity is given. Recommendations including set of water-reclamation and agro-technical measures, directed to irrigated lands and irrigation water productivity increase, were developed.

Key words

Bibliography

Author - N. Gaipnazarov Title - “Dynamics of reclamation processes on Shuruzak massif of Hunger steppe”Collection of the scientific-technical reports, Fergana, 1997Analysis of dynamics of reclamation processes on Shuruzak massif during 1986-1996 is conducted. Causal connections of water availability-land drainability-ground water table indicators were established. Secondary salinization due high ground water table because of poor operation of drainage as well as lack of water supply under deep ground water table i.e. salt leaching regime absence is found.

Relations between dynamics of reclamation processes and cotton crop yield capacity are defined.
