12.2. Sustainable Development Goals: Tracking the 2020 Progress in Central Asia

In this section we present an overview of progress towards the SDGы in Central Asian countries. Information is drawn from The Sustainable Development Goals Report 2020 - a global assessment of countries' progress towards achieving the SDGs. It is a complement to the official SDG indicators and the voluntary national reviews. The report presents a global overview of progress towards the SDGs before the pandemic started, but it also looks at some of the devastating initial impacts of COVID-19 on specific Goals and targets. The report was prepared by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs in collaboration with over 200 experts from more than 40 international agencies, using the latest available data and estimates.
