Resume Project RIVERTWIN is dedicated to developing, adapting, testing and using of regional model for strategic planning of water resources management under various ecological, social and economical conditions. The target basins are situated in Germany, Uzbekistan and Benin. In view of the systems approach the project have contributed positively to the Global Water Initiative and to the Millennium Development Goals. Two innovation methodologies on integration of scientific knowledge of natural and social sciences were used in the project, such as: the integrated modeling and the integrated development scenario. This publication prepared by authors generalizes the modelling experiences of the complex water management systems by the example of the Chirchik-Akhangaran-Keles Subbasin, which is part of the Syrdarya River Basin. The book is intended for specialists, occupying with water resources management and for researchers. From the authors' point of view the book will be useful for IT specialists too.
