More than 100 countries to discuss water cooperation questions in Dushanbe

International conference on water cooperation will bring together more than 1,000 participants from over 100 countries of the world in Dushanbe on August 20-22, Tajikistan's Representative to UN Sirodzhiddin Aslov said.

Sirodzhiddin Aslov noticed that for the moment there are more than 1,000 participants from over 100 countries registered. The official delegations are represented even by heads of states, governments, ministries and other official representatives of UN member states.

Aslov also added that the conference in Dushanbe is one of the major events within the framework of UN General Assembly's resolution “The International Year of Water Cooperation 2013” ratified by Tajikistan last December.

A briefing concerning preparation for the conference will take place on Friday in Dushanbe, reported Tajikistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Turkmenistan establishes Supervisory Board over exports of agricultural and commodity products

urkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree approving the procedure of exchange transactions in relation to exports of agricultural and commodity products, Turkmenistan.ru portal reported.

As the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports quoting the press service of the head of state, the document orders the establishment of a Supervisory Board over exports of agricultural and commodity products of the ministries and departments, agricultural joint-stock companies belonging to the agro-industrial complex, and approves the Board members.

The Turkmen Ministry of Agriculture and the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange have been instructed to work together with the Ministry of Justice of Turkmenistan to develop a proposal on making amendments and changes in the legislation of Turkmenistan arising from this decree and submit it to the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan for approval.
