KZT 14.9 BLN TO BE SPENT FOR FINANCING OF SMALL AND MEDIUM FARMS IN 2011 - A. MAMYTBEKOV

KZT 14.9 bln is planned to be invested in financing the small and medium enterprises this year from the budget, Kazinform cites Azylzhan Mamytbekov, the Chairman of KazAgro National Holding, as saying.

"We also plan to continue financing the investment projects on construction of feeding yards, slaughterhouses and establishment of small and medium farms", he said at a sitting of the board of the Agriculture Ministry today.

Kazakhstan's poultry farming sector needs highly-qualified specialists, Director of Izhevsky Private Enterprise Ibragim Zhangurazov has said at the enlarged sitting of the board of the Ministry of Agriculture today.

"The poultry farms of the country are lack of veterinarians, livestock experts, technologists, laboratory assistants and accountants", he noted.

According to him, the agricultural education institutions of Kazakhstan should also start training specialists for poultry farming sector.

In this view, Minister of Agriculture Akhylbek Kurishbayev said, the problem would be discussed and solved together with the Ministry of Industry and Technologies and the Ministry of Education and Science.

GROSS AGRICULTURAL OUTPUT IN 2010 MADE 88.3% - MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE

Kazakhstan's gross agricultural output in 2010 made 88.3% in 2010. Minister of Agriculture Akhylbek Kurishbayev has told at the sitting of the Ministry's board today.

According to him, the sector experiences decrease in production because of decline in crop industry. Alongside, the processing sphere reached 13% growth.

"By the assessment of the experts of the Global Economic Forum Kazakhstan ranks 62nd in "Expenditures for agricultural policy " category having improved its position by 31 points compared to the previous report", the Minister added.

AGROINDUSTRIAL COMPLEX EXPORT VOLUME INCREASED BY 16% - KURISHBAYEV

According to preliminary data, the export volume of the agroindustrial complex productions has increased by 16 percent, and import has decreased by 3.5 percent in 2010.

Minister of Agriculture Akhylbek Kurishbayev has made it public at the Ministry's board today.

As A.Kurishbayev emphasized, trade surplus decreased twofold.

Owing to cropping pattern diversification the crop acreages doubled.

GROSS YIELD OF GRAIN MADE 12.2 MLN TONS IN 2010 - AGRICULTURE MINISTER

The gross yield of grain in weight after processing made up 12.2 mln tons in 2010.

Minister of Agriculture Akhylbek Kurishbayev has made it public at the Ministry's board on Thursday.

"The gross yield of grain in weight after processing made up 12.2 mln tons, that covers needs of the domestic market and provides export in the volume of about 7 mln tons", the Minister said.

45 PROJECTS UP TO KZT 55.5 BLN TO BE LAUNCHED IN 2011 - KAZAGRO

In 2011 KazAgro Holding plans to put into service 45 projects amounting to KZT 55.5 bln.

Chairman of the Board of National Holding KazAgro JSC Assylzhan Mamytbekov has announced it at the session of the board of the Ministry of Agriculture.

"34 projects costing KZT 46.8 bln are to be financed by the National Fund, and 11 projects amounting to KZT 8.7 bln - by means of other sources", he noted.

As A.Mamytbekov emphasized, special attention will be paid to the projects included in the Industrialization Map of the country.

PREMIER CHARGED TO ARRANGE DOCUMENT AUDIT OF ALL AGRICULTURAL LANDS

Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov charged Agency of Kazakhstan for Land Resources Management together with the akimats of the region to audit all the documents for agricultural lands. He gave the instructions within the sitting of the board of the Agency.

Besides, the Head of the Government charged to develop the issue of inventory auditing of farm lands in 2012.

The Ministry of Finance was instructed to allocate funds on these purposes when the 2011 budget is revised.

PM URGED TO PUT AUTOMATED INFORMATION SYSTEM OF LAND CADASTRE INTO COMMERCIAL OPERATION

Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov charged to put the automated information system of land cadastre into commercial operation this year.

He gave this instruction to Chairman of the Kazakh Agency for Land Resources Management Umarzak Uzbekov at the session of the board of the Agency.

According to K.Massimov, land is not a renewable resource, in this regard we should use it carefully.
